i must say i am a man of God, and try to live it to the fullest. God has done wonders in my life and i am completely thankful of that. i grew up in a dysfunctional home and my dad was a poor example of a father figure. my parents were together, but i never saw him due to the hours that he worked. the thing was, when i actually did see him, he was an angry crewel man. i had fogiven him for not being there for me, and i completely understand. however, as a young man i often think about marriage; but the thought of having kids scares me because i dont know the first thing about being a father figure. people say i would be a great father, but i fear that i may repeat what had happened with my father: an overworked, overtired, aggitated man. what would u suggest?

Hi!
I represent Timex watches, and recently came across your blog in which you share some of Dave Scott’s tips for triathlon training.
I thought you’d be interested to know that Ironman Hall-of-Famer and six-time Hawaiian Ironman Champion, Dave Scott, is currently participating in a joint endeavor with Team Timex. He, along with former Olympic Triathlete coach Gale Bernhardt, is offering his knowledge and experience in triathlon training to athletes of all levels at http://www.timextrainer.com. His training plans include a Novice Distance Swim Plan and an Intermediate Olympic Distance Swim Plan as well as a Six Week Strength and Injury Prevention Program.
With his intense past filled with immense skill and experience, Dave provides thorough training plans that are applicable to everyone from novice to Olympian.
Scott has been involved in triathlons since 1976 and has enormous personal experience in triathlons and triathlon training. He has recently shifted his focus from a career in triathlon participation to one of training, as with the Timex Trainer site. Today he is the owner and manager of Dave Scott, Inc., an endurance sport consulting and coaching business.
Thank you for your time and please don’t hesitate to contact us with any additional needs. Be sure to check out Dave’s training materials at http://www.TimexTrainer.com.

Hello, Pastor Mark. This is Tammy Kinney, from Generation Church the Wednesday last. I received your “Thank You” card, and I just wanted to thank YOU for making me feel welcome, and changed-for the better. It was truly a great first experience, and I’m so glad that my faith is coming back to me-in fact, I don’t think it ever left… I did–for 3 years. Hopefully I’ll love it more and more, and I’ll keep coming with Rachel. Again, thank you so much. Have a wonderful weekend.
With love (Christ’s love),
Tammy

Dear Pastor Mark,
It’s Tammy again. I wanted to tell you that your prayer for me about college worked! I was accepted to Le Moyne College for Fall 2009!!! Not only that, but they gave a $40,000 leader scholarship!!! I thanked God for it, and also you, Rachel, and everyone else wishing me well. I just wanted to let you in on the good news. I’ll see you in January. Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year.
With love,
Tammy

hi mark,
very appealing site! i for myself don’t believe in religions or their made up gods. but i believe in humanism and the age of reason/enlightenment. and i uphold many useful christian values without considering any church!
i find it very good that you propagate those values.
i hope and i know that some day people will have separated from religion and they put their whole energy in forming and maintaining the good values of humanism etc.
this will save us some wars…
cheers
