the low light of man for the limelight of heaven

Hebrews 11:1-3 (NLT) Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.

This week in light of thanksgiving I want to blog about world changers that I’m thankful for. The people that I will write about inspire me & I hope that they will inspire you.
The first I want to write about is not the 1st because he has had the most impact on me but rather he is someone that I only recently became aware of. His name is DANIEL NASH. Father Nash (as he became known as) was considered the main prayer warrior for the American evangelist Charles Finney during the Second Great Awakening. “Someone asked Finney what kind of man this Father Nash was. ‘We never see him,’ “Finney replied, ‘Like anybody who does a lot of praying, Father Nash is a very quiet person.’ Show me a person who is always talking and I’ll show you a Christian who never does much praying.” Some Estimate that 500,000 souls where won into the Kingdom of God through the preaching of Charles Finney yet few know the name Daniel Nash. It interesting to note how dependent Charles Finney was upon the Prayers of Father Nash that within 4 months of Nash’s death Finney
left the evangelistic field to take a Church in New York City. I admire Father Nash because he chose the low light of men to gain the limelight of heaven. I pray that would be the legacy that I would leave behind
